Welcome to Personalized Learning Academy at Highland Meadows.  We opened in 2004 to provide overcrowding relief to Martha Turner Reilly Elementary School. Highland Meadows is a PK - 5 school serving the Lake Highlands area of the Dallas Independent School District.

Our school has a reputation of academic excellence because all staff members instill in the students our motto “Where Expectations are High!”

HMES is also known for having a safe and orderly environment and for having a quality staff with positive and caring attitudes toward all students. Our staff is highly trained and provides instructional strategies to accommodate all types of learners. We strive to meet the individual needs of each student. Our goal is to maintain a safe learning community and empower students with the knowledge and skills to become productive and responsible citizens.

Our neighborhood is diverse, and many former Dallas ISD students are parents of Highland Meadows Elementary School students. We welcome parents/guardians and community to become involved in our school as tutors, reading partners, and volunteers and to join the PTA or the Board of Trustees.
